I went to an old wooden jetty out the front of my place to photograph some ducks (as I often do) & saw a nylon(?) rope on fire at the end of the small jetty. There was nobody else around, so I have no idea how it caught fire. Downloading is recommended.

D500/Nikon 55-300mm.

Geez, Earl, that could have burned the entire pier.

If it was dripping molten blobs in was probably polypropylene rope not nylon.

Earl, excellent capture and I also believe it is nylon. Did it go out or did it burn all the wood?
