Vic, I was a woman Marine serving in WWII and I was a court recorder/secretary working for Judges at the Hall of Justice, Grand Rapids, Mi for 20-1/2 years.
Your Great Blue Heron shot is marvelous.

What's the difference between a "woman Marine" and a Marine? They're just Marines in my opinion. My wife is a career Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer E-8. She outranks me by one stripe and I'm very proud of her. If I called her a "woman Senior Chief" I would be afraid to go to sleep for a week. Semper Fi Marine!

Not a derogatory term Chief. It's how women in the Marines were addressed and had something to do with not being on the front lines in combat. You noticed that I simply addressed her as a Marine (devil dog) no gender related. (WMs,WAFs,WAVEs) Not derogatory to me but I see them serving just like us. JARHEADS all !!!!
