I find this most promising info for outside,yes both camera d7100 and flash Yonguno 685 has HSS ,but alas I,m not at a level to use it yet !!!🙀😿

For small objects like flowers, when using flash (moving it off camera, of course) it is almost impossible to not get a black background.
