Does any know of a source for outdated software. My Pc crashed (hard drive failure) and I use CS4 comfortably and need to reinstall? Any suggestions other than go Adobe subscription or etc.
Thank you
Do you have CS4 on DVD disk. So far as Adobe is concerned your CS4 is still authorized on your crashed PC. It will be a chore but maybe you can get through to Adobe to de-authorize your dead PC.
I believe CS6 can be purchased as a freestanding editor from Adobe. Bob, you didn’t mention whether you have purchased a replacement drive or a new PC or whether you have access to a disk or download of your copy of CS4. Adobe can help you look up your CS4 subscription code.
Try the Adobe site. They have their old software available for download. I've seen it and done it.
Try ebay. You may be able to buy NOS.

Do you Adobe.com credentials and did you register CS4? Previously, you could find download / install links for all the product versions. But this evening, I'm finding only my four (all out of support) registered products and no way to navigate to a general list of legacy products to download beyond my four. Certainly, you can try that, including a chat with Adobe if you have your CS4 key, before paying any more money for something you've purchased.

Can't imagine why someone would want to buy suspect software license from a non-authorized source possibly containing malware that is 11 yrs old vs buying current software license. Yet they plunk down $1200
for a new Sony A6500 and more for lenses. This is like buying a brand new Maserati, and going down to the tire shop and getting a set of 4 used mismatched tires.

WTF? How did you get *there*?
The OP wanted a specific version of a specific software package.
That eBay listing is for the original discs, in original packages, with the serial number.
No malware. No bootleg. He could use his own original serial number to install the software from these discs. That's what I thought the OP was inquiring about.
What if I want my Maserati to have a 11 year old tape player so I can rock out to KISS?
as you clearly do not know, adobe has abandoned all other versions of photoshop apart from the last two versions. They even warn you it might be illegal to use them today and urge you to delete the old software.

Or just go here on the Adobe support page where every version is listed for download, provided you had a registered previous version.

Nice. But that does not change the message that Adobe sensed out to its users. The emails are clear.

You might wipe off your monitor and read the email and product version a bit closer ...
