Now that would have been a real waste of time! If you took the time to read the thread you would have seen that the 'solution' was as simple as holding the mode button for 3 seconds. It is a feature to lock settings.

Interestingly, I didn't find anything during a quick search about "LOCKED" except to point out the "Mode/Lock" button.

Thank you for that link to the owners manual. Of course I already have the printed manual but I saved it to place where I keep digital manuals.

I'm a Sony user and have had good luck using Sony and Minolta flashes for years. The Godox flashes are highly recommend and I have often wished I had radio control of my flashes and new Godox flashes are less expensive than used Sony flashes.

I bought two Godox TT685s flashes and the Godox X1t 2.4G s control module from Amazon. I find I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon lately because of their liberal return policy.

I expected a learning curve and I'm at the bottom of it. One of my TT685s has the word "LOCKED" printed at the bottom of the screen. The only button that works is the red one on the lower left side. I makes the flash fire.

I have held down the two adjacent "RST" at the same time. No help!
I have changed the batteries. Nada!
I have taken the batteries out and waited for a half hour. The problem remains!
I have searched "You Tube", "Goggle" and the Godox web site. No help.

Has anyone seen this problem? Should I just send it back?

Thank in advance for reading this and for any guidance you can give me.

The second page of my Godox owner's manual shows the MODE Selection Button to also be the Lock Button. I have a number of different Godox products, and as long as I first read the manuals, I find them quite easy to use.

Yes thank you. "Bill de" also eluded to the same answer to my question. The locking question has now been answered.

You are welcome. I just bought the Flashpoint R2 Pro Version II (Godox rebrand) transmitter. It has a dedicated lock button requiring a double tap to unlock. It took me a little while to figure out how to disengage it. You are not alone Dave :)

I'm glad you find them so easy to use, you must be smart. I'm still struggling! BTW page 2 in my manual is written in Japanese. One page 31 I see that part 15 is the <MODE> Selection Button / Lock button.

More specifically, here is my current problem:
After days of reading the manual and watching numerous You Tube Videos I'm able to put my Godox TT685s in a slave mode with the a symbol that looks like lolly pop with (( )) around it. I then set up the X1Ts to the same group and channel and my TT685. It seem to be working because when I press the X1 test button, the remote TT685 fires. I can put the X1 onto the camera hot shoe and the test button still makes the remote flash still fire.

It's when I turn on the camera that everything stops working!

I just discovered that the X1 has an intermittent problem mating with the camera's hot shoe. I found that if I tork/twist the X1 with just the right pressure, the image on the back of the camera brightens up and everything works. I don't what to make of this?!

I just put a TT685s into the cameras hot shoe and it fires just fine. I'm starting the think I have a problem with X1. This is very confusing when one is at the bottom of the learning curve AND has an intermittent problem with the mating of the X1 hot-shoe!

Sorry, I was only trying to be helpful. Compared to my older Nikon Speedlights, these Godox units are simply much easier to use. And yes, I meant the item that identifies the MODE button was on the second page of the English section. I bet once you get familiar with your new Godox lights and triggers, you'll find them a pleasure to use. You've made a very smart choice.

No problem. You are forgiven. I was in a very irritable mood. My X1 was not working correctly because it had a maddening intermittent problem. I had been working on this for two days before I discovered that my brand new X1 was not working properly. Since then I found out how to use one of the TT685s flashes as the master and the other as a radio controlled flash and took a TTL control photo. It just happened!

The X1 will be going back to Amazon shortly. I paid a bit more buying it from Amazon but I like their return policy and how they pay for postage both ways! I have been having a series of bad luck events. Two Sony flashes arrived damaged and I returned them. One of my old Sony flashes quit working. Then my wife drove into the the garage door frame when returning home. I snapped at her but made up by taking her out for supper at a local good restaurant. I can live with the dent in the garage door frame and the car already has so many dings that one more won't matter.

The replacement Godox X1 arrived today from Amazon. It works, so I had a faulty unit and that's what was driving me nuts! I thought I was doing something wrong but the fault was with the device.

Does the manual mention any reference to that message on the screen? Contact Godox service and tech-support directly servicesupport@godox.com

Some of my wedding shooters are using Godox gear and have not experienced this issue- yet.

You best bet it to first contact the Godox service department and try to resolve the issue. If you like the equipmet, except what may be an isolated defect, ask Amazon for a replacement.

We have found the equipment to be generally good and reliable. Every now and again there may be a quality control issue and a defective unit sneaks through.

One of the reason I haven't try the Godox, or Youngnuo because when I tried to get the manual their manual is so vaque. I used learn how to operate something by reading the manual before I buy it. With Godox it's going to be a lot of trial and error.

Google is the best place to go for help.

Here is a video that seems to address your issue.
