Your hereford bull is great!

Thank you. My family raised some incredible registered hereford breeding stock in the 1940 to 1980s. This one was one of our herd bulls of the era.

All are beautiful, but #6 would be my choice! Good Luck!

White balance is all over the place... fix that before entering images... if it's not too late.

All of them are good shots. I like #3 because of the reflections, but for in flight shot, I like #6

Darned if I know. All are great shots. If I had to pick I'd pick number 6.

Well, Vic here goes, just remember these are my personal opinions and they are worth what you pat for them. # 1 Not a really good background and you just missed the focus on the eye, which is usually critical. #2 Interesting feather detail, but again I don't care for the background. #3 is great with the reflection and the feathers, but you can only almost see the eye. #4 is a cool pose, but again the eye doesn't do it for me. #5 is nice but it doesn't stand out very strongly from the background. #6 is VERY good. I like it a lot! #7 is very good. I like the light through the wing feathers.#8 is a Fine Portrait but with a little blue cast to the feathers. Not being a proficient post processor, I don't know what you could do to fix that, but probably not too difficult. #9 is a good shot and #10 is a good one too. Bottom line...I would be proud to call any of them mine but for a competition I would go with #6, #7, #3, and #8 in that order. Again JMHO.

One thing that I have struggled with White Egrets is they have very little eyes and hard to emphasize it....thanks

thanx Vicki...very difficult for me anyway. I struggle with not overexposing the white but getting the feather detail but not having to totally darken the background.

I think they are all great photos. The name of the bird is just Great Egret except for the Snowy Egret.

I really liked #10 flight wise, wings, eyes, toenails. winner if same white as #7. My winner would be #4 looking under wing. Great detail and it is hypnotic in that I can not figure out which feather it thinks is out of place.

Thanks for sharing excellent grouping.
