Hi All this is my first time posting here. I love the web site topics, and the pictures. I hope mine are that good some day. I recently took a beginner class and now shoot with a Nikon 5600. Moved from a Sony NEX3.
I am a frustrated beginner because I can't take a good picture. Everything is over exposed out of focus or something else. I am trying everything but Blah pictures. I am also having a problem visualizing a picture.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I so want to get this and take real nice pictures.
Thanks
Welcome to the forum.
Nice shots.
DON'T get frustrated! You'll get there. It takes time and a lot of shooting.
Just watch your focusing points and metering area.
Keep shooting and be cognizant of the camera settings.
Read/re-read the manual and try to learn as much as you can about the camera.
Welcome to the forum! You can take excellent photos with that camera. I can tell that you already like to go where there are interesting subjects. Sometimes you have to wait until a different time of day to make the photo look less blah.

Welcome, this is a good place to learn and enjoy photography.
Hello and welcome. Your second picture reminds me of the waterfall in Red Oaks Mills near the Covered Wagon (a restaurant)... at least that's what it used to be called. What is the location of your first pic? In terms of photography, it takes practice and experimentation. I highly recommend Steve Perry's e-books. They are very informative and I think will help you on your journey. David Busch is another author that I highly recommend. When I purchase a new camera, David's book is usually purchased as well.
Welcome and don’t give up! Photography is a million simple things to go ‘wrong,’ so make a short checklist to memorize what you’re discovering you’re not remembering to check and set when you shoot. BTW; I used to live in Garrison, along the AT, the river, hiking there and architecture is awesome.
Welcome to UHH. I am also in the Hudson Valley, NY area.
Welcome to our forum!
Also from the Hudson Valley - not far from Kingston.
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing your photos.
Welcome to the Hog, the only thing I see wrong is that you need to level your shots, otherwise they are not bad, enjoy the Forum.
