Anyone have experience with sending camera & lens into Nikon to correct for excessive front focusing. Also what was the avg. cost. Tks for your help.

Yes. If they adjust the lens, then how would it work on other camera bodies? If they adjust the camera you have at least a chance that if the lens is ok, other lenses will still work. You'll need to do a little work to establish what the problem is (lens or camera) and direct Nikon's techs to adjust either one to factory spec. The last thing you want is a specific lens matching a specific camera body, which may not work with different lenses on one body, or with different bodies on the adjusted lens.

The only time I used their service for this type of work, the body was clearly at fault, and it was a refurb that was still under warranty so they fixed it for free.
