Nice job on the processing, very easy to lose control of the whites in the cloud but you have done really well. Merging of the trees and cloud works nicely but I am not quite sure about about the foreground, it feels a bit as if its cutting off what I want to see more of. But I guess you couldn't do much more without risking a nosedive over the edge. But all in all a pretty impressive pic with well controlled use of HDR.

Nice view and HDR work. I echo Peter's comments. As it is, try darkening the mound of soil and see if it will help.

Yes, I feel the pix with the darker base is more successful. If you look at the two pictures side by side, in the pix with the darker base, do you notice how your eyes don't linger at the mound of soil and takes you beyond it? Wherelse in the other pix, you are held back by the mound of soil. The image would be even better if you could show the pathway beyond the pile of soil that leads us to the middle ground and then the background.
Regarding the second edited picture, cropping off the ground hasn't helped. The balance of the picture is affected and I feel I have to jump up and struggle through the trees to get beyond them. They have become barriers rather than frames.
I hope you can visualise what I have been saying.
That's awesome looking over the clouds.
