There are only a handful of memory manufacturers. It is unlikely that the Ritz brand is actually manufactured by anybody but one of the legitimate sources and branded with the Ritz name. The challenge is to find who the original manufacturer is and good luck with that one.

Ritz is still in business. A few stores and a online business.

I have long suspected that there are only two memory card manufacturers in the entire world. And one of those is going to buy the other out by the end of the year

Recently I had a ScanDisk failure. I have been back and forth with ScanDisk. They wanted photo of disc, did I use a card reader-yes, but I don't have the receipt.
I saw the attached on Amazon, does anyone have experience with the Ritz brand or suggestion for best memory card.
Thanks

Every genuine SanDisk card comes with a "RescuePro" software download coupon which when utilized has been able to recover deleted images from a memory card for me. A "corrupted" card is another matter, but still worth trying in an effort to recover some if not all of your images. Once you have recovered all recoverable images, then re-format the card in camera and run a few test shots to see if the card has been returned to its original user state.

As to your question as to what brand(s) of card to use and capacity, also UHS-1 versus UHS-II, check your camera manual for advice. For example, there is no point in purchasing a more expensive UHS-II card if your specific camera cannot make use of the UHS-II technology, so check and use what your camera manual recommends.

I use Sandisk, Lexar and Delkin. A new Sandisk CF card was obviously defective at purchase since it could not format. I returned it to Sandisk which sent me a replacement. On the telephone, Sandisk reps told me that the biggest problem Sandisk faced was with failed counterfeit cards, all from China. The fake cards were usually purchased online at low price. I do not know if the 'bargain' supposedly factory 'refurbished' cards are legitimate.

Lexar, Sandisk or Sony. Best of luck.

Better off using a few more cards with lower capacity--in my opinion..

You know what? I've had a failure on a Sandisk too. Guess what? I still shoot with Sandisk every day though. To answer your question, I have heard of Ritz camera shops. The last one around here went out of business years ago. Not sure if they went bankrupt and now some group has bought up the brand name and is using it on products, like has happened with kodak and why you can now buy kodak batteries and flashlights at walmart, or what. So it's up to you on how you want to spend your money. But just know, card failures are going to happen, no matter what company has made them.

Ritz Camera is still alive and well down here in the Dallas area.

I’ve been using SanDisk forever 10 or more years never had any corrupt for any of my camera’s I use CF,SD,MicroSD.

It seems to me some here are mishandling these card.

There was a write up the other day that layed it out for all to read on the hog, I believe it nailed it spot on.

You are already using the best, SanDisk. You must have done something too it or it was the first time with an incompatible camera. The only way I can think to ruin the images on a SanDisk SD card would be to try to process your images on it with Dektol or HC-110!

Off or store brands are not the way to go, there are other pretty good brands.

When I bought my Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS-60 the dealer recommended a Black Delkin 32 GB SDXC card. Looking at reviews it has a high rating with a lifetime guarantee.

I have 6 Sandusky memory card for years I’ve shot over 25,000 images with them and never had a failure. Cost is not an issue when you consider the cost of a camera and lens in the chance that you might lose a shot. My D7 50 has two card slots and I always shoot and save to both slots however again I have never had a SanDisk failure stay with the best.

Was not aware that any brand of 32GB SD card was available as an "SDXC" card. IS that card you have a UHS-I or UHS-2 version?

Agreed and if you do have the mis-fortune to have a card corrupted do try the SanDisk "RescuePRO DELUXE software. Coupon for a free two year subscription is available in each SanDisk card sold in the standard retail packaging envelope. The software has saved me several times when through user error I deleted images unintentionally and once when the card was corrupted because I was downloading images from the card to my computer via USB cable connection between the camera and computer and the battery in the camera died before the transfer was completed! Agai, user error, not the card's fault!

Check out delkindevices.com. They are great! I have used them for years and NEVER had one problem. I use 8 and 16GB for small jobs and save them physically in the clients accounts. Cost and service, excellent. Bob D.
