my inexpensive water proof camera.
So, what is it? It does look like a Canon.

It's distributed from Yisense Corp. in Shenzen/ Guangdong/ China.
They manufacture video equipment etc. This camera is only water proof to 10 feet of water depth and for no more than 1 hour of exposure ,but it okay for fishing ,hunting and hiking in the rain activities.
Nice price too
Don't know about it's ratings as far as overall endurance performances thought....relatively new product I would guess or at least in our market.....?????
$80.00 from China? You get what you pay for; can't imagine the photo quality is any good.
Put you phone in a ziplock instead.
Olympus has the best ratings for a "tough" camera. Several models. Quality is excellent, but prepare for $300 plus. Great for the beach because sand is tough on expensive DLSR's.
My first digital was a sleek 6mp Pentax Optio WP. Great camera, amazing photos!
It went everywhere with me in my pocket for 3 years until I finally bought the 6mp D40.
They can't be too proud of it. They don't even have their name on it.
I googled 24mp underwater cameras and 10 were listed. The top two look exactly like this one. The first is made by Comi Tech and the second by Yisence. Yisence is a company that is based in Hong Kong.
There is a whole bunch of "waterproof" Asian cheapies sold under a dozen names, including Coleman!
Many reviews indicate kids take them into wading pools and they leak, usually from the battery compartment. I have two that are fixed focus 5 MP with fake 12MP interpolated and they are very so-called "LOMO" quality. Plenty of SFX with weird names such as "Japan Style" and even "Dog's Eye." One got the menu wrong and had it "God's Eye!"
Same camera circuit, maybe different lens, $19-89 in different camera shells. Some use AAA, other recharge.
As professionals and serious amateurs of photography on this blog, I can't imagine an $80.00 piece of shirt-pocket plastic from China being very satisfying to even the least of our standards as photography enthusiests. Instead, take your wife (or husband) out to a $80.00 steak dinner and as mentioned earlier put your smarty phone in a ziplock. The Korean pea-sized lens glass will be better.
It was probably made in some guy's garage. LOL I wonder how many patents they infringed on.
Certainly not trying to defend cheap Chinese cameras, but, looking at the downloaded picture he included, how could anyone tell whether it was taken with an $80 or $800 camera? Looks pretty good to me.
Sometimes you feel like Ansel Adams, other times like Andy Warhol.
LOMO, Diana, Woca, Holga are all being used. PaperShoot is another one big in Asia.
