Are any of you running Windows 97 on anything? I just read on another forum about someone who knows people who still use Windows 97. Man, that's old! I don't even remember when that was introduced!
Jerry I remember using Windows 98 but can't remember ever using 97. I doubt anything would still interface with it now unless you would still be running programs as old as the program!

Win97 was Memphis - beta version released only - I was on the Win 95 MS support team for the rollout and stayed involved through Win 98
Still running xp pro with no problems. I built my own mainframe and it supports my uscutter machine.
I remembered Windows 98, but not 97.
I guess you don't remember Windows 1.0 and 3.0 with the floppy discs either. lol

There is no such animal! Windows 95 and then windows 98.
Jerry got an Acer 286 running win 3.1, aol 2.5 and it takes 4.5 min to load an 12 meg pic. and at times it crashes trying. Would you believe $3,000 new
Before I retired from IT in 2007, we still had a number of machines running Win98. They were mostly running data reception from production tools like power nut and screw drivers. They capture the torque readings on critical safety parts installations.
We also had some PC's which ran MS/DOS, since the OS was just passing data to servers.
We also beta tested Memphis, but opted to wait on Win98, since Win95 was still functional on our Dell PC's.

I'm also old enough to remember driving a car with mechanical brakes. They needed frequent re-adjusting to keep from pulling to one side. Can't remember all the cars I have owned since. Don't like Windows 10.

Microsoft never released a "Windows 97". Windows 98 followed Windows 95. I know that because I was a beta tester on both.

I'm running Windows 98, not 97, probably close.

Got rid of my Windows 95 but still have a desk top Windows 98 second edition that I use occasionally. Usually use a lap top with Windows 10.
I started on MSDOS, moved to Windows 3.1 when it became available and have done nearly every Windows iteration since then. I am now on Windows 10 Pro and wishing I was just staring out with all the technology that is becoming available. I love it all!!!
