Birds with back button focus

Shot these today using the back button focus on my T4i. It seems to work pretty good. Thank you for the thread a couple days ago. Everyday I'm learning something. No PP except cropping.

BBF is the only way to go.

Nice shots. I shoot the T3i which I think is very similar to the T4i. I want to try BBF. Can you tell me what settings to change to make this work?

on the t3i you need to go to the custom functions #9 and change the 0 to a 1 which will enable the back button (*) to lock focus. Check out your manual under custom functions-lots of stuff in there.
