New here.....enjoy taking pictures since children are grown and grandchildren are coming along. I'v kinda taken over my husbands camera....love simple everyday life photos, weather people or nature....hate being photographed....mary

Mary: Welcome to the forum. What type of camera do you use? I see you live in North Carolina, what part? We visited my son who is stationed at Virginia Beach, VA and we went to the Outter Banks. A beautiful area of North Carolina, but not during hurricane season. Cheryl

Welcome Mary. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos. I grew up in SC, and miss the Great Smokies. Now I live near the Sierra Nevadas..love them too.

welcome Mary. I too, am not all that fond about getting photographed, but I make exceptions if I think it'll be unique or really interesting in some way.

Welcome to the forum Mary ... I prefer being behind the camera too... could be a character flaw ... but then I'd have to admit that I am not perfect.

Its bad when you ask your husband what kind of camera am I using:) We live near Greensboro. I have seven grandchildren and love taking photos of them but four of them live in St. Louis MO
