Doddy
Loc: Barnard Castle-England
This is Englands largest glacial remains. Other walkers say the best time to go is after heavy rainfall when the water is cascading over the rim (Jurassic park). Me and my walking buddy have walked along the bottom and climbed out the other end....not for the weak bowelled!!!
Very interesting set Doody, Ive not seen this before.

Yes, we walked from Cow Green Reservoir past Cauldron snout (Englands largest Cataract falls(river tees) and past Birkdale farm which is supposed to be Englands highest farm. Then over wild moorland for about 8 miles...but well worth it even though we were caught out by a short snowstorm!!

excellent. it is a beautiful place doddy. first time i went there i was walking the pennine way. crossing the fell from maise beck in heavy mist. after checking the os map i was expecting a steep hill, up until the ground fell away before me. i had misread the contour lines. great map reader me. :-)
Gorgeous place, Doddy. I'll bet it really is something after a good hard rain. Very nice shots.

Glad you like them, today would be a good day to go. If it rains any more we'll be able to swim there!!!
