We were in Churchill, Canada photographing polar bears and this bird flew by , no one on board could Id it, any ideas?

I see you did that now with the first pic. But I cannot tell what it is from that one, maybe someone else will recognize it.

Tough call. After going over the data base, the only bird I can find that fits both the area, the wing pattern and the underbelly is a Semi Palmated Plover, but I'm still not sure. Looks too dark. Sorry I couldn't give a 100% positive ID. 50% is all I've got.

What you have is an American Golden Plover, common bird in Churchill.
