As a newbie, I have been going to evening classes at my local college to learn how to use Photoshop. So far it's been about levels and curves and I have posted my original image along with my shopped version. I know that I have still got lots to learn but happy to share my experience with all.
I am keen to see what you would do with the image. It'll both help me progress and let me know just what can be achieved.
Any tips will be gratefully received.

Pretty meat I think you are doing just fine by yourself, I use paint shop pro x5 it works about the same
