Hello, I am new here as you can tell, I have looked over this site several times and found it to be very helpful for me.
I have the desire and drive to expand my knowledge of photography and hopefully be of some help in sharing with others others what knowledge I have taught myself over the past years. I consider myself an Amateur in Photography.
I do have my days with using the computer, please try to patient with me in this matter. I have noticed that everyone is very helpful to others and do not mind sharing their knowledge. I hope to be posting some photos in the very near future as soon as I can digest on how to go about just that. Thank you and it is nice to be here.....Tom

welcome looking forward to seeing your work. this site is by far the easiest i have run across for posting photos directly from your computer rather than having to open a flicr or photobucket account(popphoto.com), how to post photos on photography corner i gave up on. if you have any questions fire away. good luck

Thank you Sanatraman, Nice of you to reply back so soon, did not think I would receive a reply so fast. I will note what you have written in your rfeply and will contact you soon, My Wife wants to go shopping so I will leave the computrer on line for a while and hopefuly will post s picture or two when i return.

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum. I think you'll find it very helpful. Some may think the critiques a bit harsh at times, but I find it helpful and makes for me to become a better photographer. Looking forward to your posts and photos. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Thank you, by the way that (Avatar) photo of yours; would it be somewhere around Montarey Ca?. I'm a terrible speller, wish there was a spell checker on the site.

Hi Tom, actually I wish, but was taken at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Mears, MI. My husband and I were married on the dunes (somewhere to the left of that big hill) some 26 years ago. Yes, we love the dunes and have a couple dune buggies. Fun, fun..well enjoy this forum. I find it is addicting...lol - Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Beautiful story, looks very inviting, must be many interesting things to photograph on those Dunes. I never would have thought that photo was taken in MI, If I were to bet on it, (and I'm not the betting type) I would have lost.....Ha!; anyway, thanks for the comeback, hope to talk again soon, over some of our work.

I have been looking this site over for and week now. I really like it and this is the first time i have joined anything like this. I have been going right to this site every morning to check it out.
