Recently there was a thread here about methods for black and white processing. Half a dozen techniques were discussed. Some suggested the best tool is the $200 Silver Effects from Nik, now owned by Google.
This morning I watched a 30 minute "webinar" from Topaz about their new $60 B&W Effects 2. It is supposed to be available for trial or purchase this week. It was suggested there would be an introductory "special" price.
As an old school wet darkroom veteran, I am impressed. In fact, very impressed.
I think anyone can watch a recording:
www4.gotomeeting.com/en_US/island/webinar/registrationPost.tmpl?Action=rgoto&_sf=2
If that link is only for webinar attendees, an edited version may already be on the Topaz channel at YouTube. If not, it will be soon.
Enjoy!
Bill
PS: I am not connected to Topaz. I'm just excited to explore B&W again. I recently bought the best digital camera I've ever had and, combined with software that is new to me, I'm having fun.
