The fruit on my flowering crabapple tree seems to be just right to eat in mid February. Robins, Bluejays, Cedar Wax Wings, Starlings and Grackles really go into an eating frenzy and they don't sit still very long while feasting. One Robin bit off more than he could swallow. Gave it a good try and spit it out because it was too big.

Actually, they are also kind of pretty birds....just too many of them.
