Did I read that right? 80? come out of hiding and show us where you are.
Hey Y'all
It is always windy down there, and blowing snow is common. It gets cold too. Rimouski is the home for the snowcrab fishermen and also a ferry port. The next ''big'' city is 1:40 from there, Matane.
The last pic is a sugar cabin. We supply 30% of the world's consumation of maple syrup in this area. We sell also to Vermont ..hint-hint.
Back inthe day, these sugar cabins were great for making moonshine during sugarin' season.
Sugar season around here is like Opening Day in Michigan!
Ok we have seen snow now it is time for spring.
That last pic of the sugar cabin was taken in April LOL, seriously.
Here are some from Down East
After the Storm
Dooryard "Night Rider"

FANTASTIC SHOTS Um and looking at the photos are you sure it's "down east" and not "up east"?, cause it's cool here today at 62 and I am in "down east" on the coast of Florida ?

Thanks. It's called down east because even though one goes north and east to get to northern most coast of Maine, altitude wise, one goes down. and also have to hang a little south - at least that's the story.

Thank you. Love being a Maine-iac. Although born in New England, but not in Maine, guess I can never be a TRUE Mainiac.
Oh well, at least I get to live in a gorgeous part of the country.
I hear you....you made a good choice...I'm originally from Connecticut

Me too - born in Bridgeport, lived in Milford and moved to Michigan when I was a year old and never returned to CT.
Went to Blessed Sacrament in the East End, was born at Myrtle Beach, spent my childhood in Lordship ...left for Québec and never looked back LOL
Just a few more snow shots. These were of a 4x4 snow run a few years ago in the Blue Mountains of Eastern Washington. Taken with a Kodak DC5000 point and shoot camera.
