After browsing and selecting the picture I want to upload, I will hit the send button and it blanks out my selection and does nothing. Anyone else have this problem and if so how do you correct it?

If you are trying to put them on the web, the files may be too big. Reduce the image size a max of 800 pitels of the longest dimension.

If you "Preview", it knocks them out - also, what file format ? TIFF or RAW won't work - save them as .JPG

If you happen to be using Internet Explorer 9, then try enabling "compatibility mode". Some people say it helps.

I'm not sure. You might want to search IE9 compatibility mode on Google.

I shouldn't be replying but anyhow ... I used to try using copy and paste to send pictures in emails.
This meant much of the time the picture didn't show up but a little box w/ a red X would be in it's place.
I learned that my saving my pictures to a folder I could embed them in the body of my email w/ complete success.
Also. some servers try to save on bandwidth by removing pictures, AOL is notorious for this.
I apologize if I've misunderstood the concept of this problem.

Can you indicate the steps to do this. I went to Internet Explorer, clicked on tools, then Internet Options; don't know how to get beyond that. Thanks
