Hey everyone-

Heading over to Moab, leaving early Wed. March 6; returning Mon. March 11.

Concentrating my efforts on Arches, but will checkout Island in the Sky and Dead Horse Point for a couple of sunrise/sunset images.

If weather doesn't look good by Sunday March 3, will cancel.

Anyone interested in a focused (I hope) trip for some intense canyon country scenery??!!

Would so love to go, but have to be in Fountain Hills, AZ and Palm Springs on the following weekends. The Moab area is one of my favorite locations. After three stays in the area I have yet to see and shoot everything available. While there, take an evening and go shoot Fisher Towers. Nice location and only about 35mins out of town. Also, unless you are scheduled for really, really bad weather, don't be too quick to cancel. Spring storms over the redrock can be pretty spectacular. Enjoy.

I am not trying to be a smart ass (I realize that's hard for many to grasp) but what and/or where is Moab? Googled it and got a number of options...

Eastern Utah. Mountain Biking Mecca. Canyonlands NP (Maze, Island in the Sky, Needles), Arches NP. Hundreds of miles of spectacular 4x4 jeep trails, 12,000 foot La Sal Mtns.

Why are you asking? Are you coming apart?

Seriously, I would love to join you but I live half a continent away, so I'll have to wait until I can afford a trip down that way.

We lived in Monticello and Blanding for a spell and Moab was where we went for supplies. Out of Monticello there are some great gravel roads that go up into the mountains.
If you head south from Monticello. there is a cool park/pull off on the right side. You know the places. Also to check out is Kens Lake. We had a lot of fun exploring that entire area and if you get off the beaten path there are treasures abounding. I would love to revisit but been there done that.

Days Inn through Booking.com. I've been to Moab maybe 15 or so times. Amazing area. Awesome in the true sense of the word.

If you need info, let me know.

Fisher Towers is a beautiful rock formation, especially at sunset. Located 20-30 miles north of Moab on the Colorado River Road,
