BLM horses waiting for adoption. There is a lot of fear in these eyes.

I appreciate the 2nd and 3rd. They convey deep thought. "I wonder who my new owners will be." The horse is beautifully designed!! I love watching them. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I felt so sorry for them as they were so frightened in the pens. I hope they all got homes with knowledgeable new owners.

Horses have been my life for 48 years, as many as 77 at a time and I can see fear in one eye, hope in the other two. Wild and gelding don't go together. A bit puzzling.

BLM gelds them so the new owners wont have to put up
with to much testosterone. Not sure if its done humanely
but it is done. All of the horses in the pens were of age to
start riding. There were 20 head.

That's good to know. I have a cousin that adopted a lead stallion (normally, they won't even let you do that) and he made her a wonderful horse. He lived to be quite old and never was gelded. Of course, he was very protective of her and didn't want other horses near her except for the mare her daughter rode, so they didn't go out on rides with others, just the two of them.
