They are both the same Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM

One seems new where the other is not.

See it all the time where auctions for used make it almost to the same price as new does not make much sense to me have actually seen a few used items sale for more than new.

Just in case someone is mislead they do not include IS. I would buy the new one considering the tiny price difference.

An L lens will hold its value as long as it has not been abused.

The one on eBay will have been purchased from an authorised dealer. The seller does not make reference to any remaining warranty so it's probably not got any now.

ProCameraShop operate their own warranty system which is basically that they will replace any faulty equipment in the first year. They remove the oiriginal manufacturer's warranty card from the box. That is why they can sell at such a low price.

They are a Hong Kong company with a web outlet in Carlisle and ship from a warehouse down round about Crawley. They are fine to deal with.

Because a sucker is born every minute! The seller is hoping to catch one that doesn't price shop.

No...he's not...Canon L lenses hold their value very well...it's typical for the used price of an L lens to be very close to the new price. I've owned many L lenses and basically, they don't lose value but go up in value, so whatever you paid today....in 3 years you will get back 90%.
