My varied mountain top views.
I live at about the 4,000 foot level, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, on top of a nice ridge. Every morning, when I take my dog (Hooch) out early, I am often greeted with a spectacular sunrise, or interesting storm clouds, or sometimes just some fun fog that settled into my valley below.
Here are three recent examples of some of my morning views.
Comments are more than welcome.

I was about to ask how you managed to live at the 4,000 level but such as these makes it more bearable. Well Done ! especially #1.
Awesome views! As for living that high up...not a hard thing to do living in the mountains...far above sea level...lol

Thank you for looking and your kind comments.
I have been to Memphis and Nashville, plus my father's parents came to California early in the last century from Tenn. You have some wonderful country there in Tenn., which I have enjoyed during my travels.
Just this week I found my grandfather's second grade report card from his school in Bristol, Tenn. It was noted that he could do better and that he daydreamed during class. . .made me smile, as they said the same of me. Must be a family trait?

I live just off the Sonora Pass Hwy. Sonora Pass is closed for the winter, with an elevation at the top of a little over 9,600 feet (second highest pass in the range). When the hwy opens in the late spring, I can be over the pass in less than an hour. Wonderful views on top and along the way.

I do love the high mountains. When I was younger, I climbed to the summit of Mt. Whitney (around 14,500 feet as I recall) the tallest mountain in the lower 48. From the top of Whitney one can look down into Death Valley, where at "Bad Water" is located the lowest point in the U.S. (well below sea level). Useable oxygen is reduced by about 50% at 16,000 feet, as I recall. . .and when you get up there on or near the top, you can certainly feel the pull on your body.

Thank you. I too am pleased with the way this image turned out. Today I am printing new art for my gallery, and this image is on my list to print.
