Hi guys, I am a newbie, not only to the forum, but to dslr. I am posting a photo I know is far from perfect but I like it, so I'm forcing it on you guys:) I don't expect anyone to be impressed since I don't know what I'm doing, and it was shot thru a window on a windy day.

I rather like the photo,has good composition and I can see the cardinal's eye and some other details.

Thank you Sarge69. I probably have at least one with more exposure. I took hundreds because the wind was blowing the feeder around and I figured I'd have to wind up with at least one I liked. Appreciate the advice.

I agree. The lighting adds another level of interest for me.

not a bad photo at all - do you have a post processing program - like picasa or photoshop? If so, try increasing the contrast just a little, not much. I like it just fine and please don't throw the camera in the trash!

I use light room, but am new to that also. Than for the kind words. I,all pot a better one tomorrow.
