I am a senior citizen who loves to take pctures and to scrapbook them for future generations, I wat to make it a pleasure for them to look atmy scrap books and maybe say, Wow this is a really good picture. I have 4 children, 12 grandchildren and seven very new great grandchildren. I love to photograph the babies because they don't complain or try to act shy. None of them are camera shy. I need lots of help. I used to sue a Pentex but like me it got old and out of style so now I use a Nikon and I do like it but can't seem to get the shots that I could with thw Pentex, but I do love the digital.

Judy, first and foremost, enjoy your family!

Picture wise, always take the picture from the child angle, not from an adult point of view. Let the kid be a kid in front of the camera, even if takes an hour to finally get the shot you wanted but remember something else, they are growing older as we type and so do we so, if you have a digital camera who cares if you take too many pictures!!! (note that the most sophisticated picture is often a 'blah' overtime when a blurry look of shock when a kid falls into a pool will stay for ever! (and will shame him for the rest of his or her life when shown to his/her sweetheart)

(Oh avoid flash with young children and babies, a flash that maybe only moderate may make the capillaries visible on the legs, arms and head... Nobody wants a violet child!!!
