It's been brutally cold here in the Northeast. I filled balloons with water, added food coloring and set them outside. Within 24 hours they were frozen solid. I removed the balloon skin and arranged them in my garden.

I have mine in Ice cream buckets. haven't ventured out to get them yet. I was going to chop a hole and put candles in them. It would have been easier to put coloring in them I see. Thanks for the idea.

A great idea. My grand kids would love that but for the moment the snow has gone.

I did this for my grandchildren. You don't need snow, just below freezing temperatures.
