We've got a 150w sodium vapor light on a pole in the yard so I thought I'd try a few shots tonight using it. The color cast is awful no matter what I did with the white balance. However, the B/Ws look good.

The problem with sodium lighting is that it is mono-chromatic. The reflected light remains mono-chromatic.
You cannot color balance because there is only one color.
The black/whites do look very good!
