Usually a road in a landscape is a distraction or is just plain boring. However, in these shots the flatness of road juxtaposed with colorful activity of the sky makes the shot quite striking.

Thanks Tc for the comment. Personally i like to include roads as a secondary element of a landscape picture. Im agree with you because sometimes it could be distracting but i take it as a challenge to make it part of the the composition.
