Hi all,

I have done my best to keep up this week but time just got away from me. For this weekend's challenge I have choose hobbies. We all have various things we enjoy doing. This are the things that keep us sane in this crazy world. Show us what you enjoy and what occupies your time. I would list my hobbies as sewing, reading, photography, and travel. Not in any particular order.

I enjoy sewing and creating things for my family and friends.


I make bags such as purses, diaper bags, and bookbags.


I also make baby blankets, bedspreads, and throws. This is my new granddaughter's blanket. Her diaper bag matches.


I am an avid reader. These are the books in one side of the bookcase in my office.


One of my favorite authors is Charlene Thompson.


I also enjoy traveling. I have traveled outside the country to England, Canada, and the Bahamas. My goal is to visit each state.


Of course I have been to too many states to show pics of so here are some of my favorites. A pelican in Mississipps.

My travels are what started my interest in photography. I bought my first DSLR right before I took a cruise to Alaska. I have been hooked every since.


And in the true fashion of any hobbist my collection continues to grow and grow.

Awesome work on your hobby. My grandmother used to make beautiful blankets out of old jeans and other materials. This ought to be fun. Although my hobbies are kind of hard to catch on film.

Much like Perilin... I have many HOBBIES.... I dont even call them hobbies anymore, they are more like interest... I like to do many things to keep my mind active and up here it is so cold I think it helps create heat and keeps me warm... SO I guess my hobbies would be:
Photography
Writing/Reading
Skydiving
Riding my Harley
Reading and OH yes.... mmmm COOKING! I LOVE cooking for other people!

Besides clickin my Nikon, some of my hobbies are playing the harmonica and drums, reading autobiographies, and also listening to a wide variety of music 8-)

Wow...I love seeing peoples bookcases! You have Great Books of the Western World?? Looks like maybe an encyclopedia set??? Very impressive! I loved the Great Books I think its one of the best additions to anyone library and even though I have an ipad and a nook...I will always love books!!

Ok....Hobbies....I am so scattered Im one of those who knows a little about everything and a lot about nothing. I have tried most every craft, art and many different hobbies from sewing, short story writing, poetry, airplane flying lessons, rock collecting, bird watching, bike and motorcycle riding, travel and people watching and of course photography! Many more...Im a voracious reader too....chess....graphoanalogy, well....you get the picture.

HOBBIES

One of my hobbies is writing and another is photography and had it not been so I would not be writing this one. Writing is even a bigger hobby than photography and I use it with other hobbies also, as making up photo albums in scrapbook style.

For some years now I have been promoting the Province of Québec, not in its entirety but just in the places I know well. Nothing political here either as I am doing it to share my photos and writings of places not seen by tourists or even locals for that matter as I travel the roads less traveled. By traveling these roads I have seen Québec, seen its beauty, its history of hard times and good times, of old times and not so old times making this what I call my ‘’home’’.

I like these challenges where you get to learn a little about everyone...Perilin...I just might want YOU to make a bag for me....I cut out all the stuff necessary to make a protective bag for my camera to insert into a regular purse...and like many of my hobbies it remains just like that....

yesterday I took a shower, went out to breakfast, travelled to NYC, looked at a bunch of really neat motorcycles, took the train back home, went out for dinner and then played with the pictures I took

from inside convention center..thought it looked neat and the letters are red
