In spite of what passes for cars these days, I somehow don't think people will look at the cars we drive today and in 20 years say, "Wow - what a classic!" Thanks for the post.

Agree completely. If you took the brand name badges off most of today's cars and look at them directly from front or rear at a couple hundred feet away, you probably couldn't tell whether they're a VW, Chevy or a Honda. In the 50's - 70's, no such problem -- you knew right away what it was.

Brought back fond memories for me too. When I was 16, I worked in a DX station and sold gas for 17.9 for regular and 19.9 for Ethyl. Would love to go back.
