Here in the Reno NV area is a very large sporting goods store, in this store are rest areas that customers can go to and sit for a spell while shopping. Each of these areas is devoted to one of the U.S Presidents with a statue of that President. One evening I was sitting in one of these areas while waiting for my daughter and family to complete their shopping. While waiting another family joined me, the lady was telling her 3 children about the statute of the President that was depicted in that rest area. She told the 3 children he was one of our countries best and first President, and how he had lead our armies in the revolution. This was all well and good except for one small fact, the Presidents statue was of John Adams.. and said so on the attached placard.

I find it ironic on your heading "Why Washington is so screwed up," but you offer no substance other than to flame the democrats. The truth (very apparent) is that the republicans-both branches-conservative and ultra conservative took a vow right at Obama's first inauguration to "just say no" to EVERYTHING! Regardless of his first attempts to reach across the aisle to find middle ground the republicans sole purpose was to make him a one-term president...so many opportunities wasted, not to mention sabotaging the economy...directly and indirectly yours and mine 401K's. The republicans should be tried for TREASON!

At least I don't stay in hiding, and I vote indepentent not a party line.and when I go to the store I pay for my purchase with money I worked for.

Glad to hear it. I vote the same and pay the same as you...never been on welfare, and for the record I am a vet (Vietnam-Army). I stand by my original frustration that this group of hardline Republicans has sabotaged politics, (which I used to believe was the 'art of compromise' for the betterment of our country). I can't see how politicians can represent their districts by towing a party line.
