Trying out the new lens...not quite there yet

My hubby bought me a beautiful new lens for my b-day and I took it out to the lakes to try it out. It's going to take me a bit to get the hang of this one. But not to bad for the first tries. These were the best out of the bunch.

Most other websites/blogs posters seem to note what gear and/or settings. I suggested that a time or two and was told to download the pictures as if posting that information should be of no interest or if you want to know you have to download and look at the EXIF data. I don't ask anymore.

Because I wanted comments and critiques about my photos and not the equipment I am using.
But since you asked....... It's a T2i with a 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM.

Most people want critiques on their photos and not what they were taken with or how. If I was asking for help with my photos and what I could or should be doing better, then I would most definitely post any any all pertinent info about settings and equipment. Since I was not asking for help, I didn't feel the need to specify.
