Saturday went with my promisekeepes group down to the FT Pierce Fl airport. The group Missionary flight international and the group feed my starving children was looking for volunteers to help assemble and box what they call Marna rice to be shipped to Haiti, In a 2 hour shift we packed up enough rations to feed 103 children for a year. Churches came from all over to help
they put a mixture of dried chicken powder, dried vegetables rice and soy for protein into a bad, sealed it and boxed it up ready for shipping. after completing our shift they had cooked samples, was not bad just needed a little Tabasco and salt
Missionary flights runs 3 c-47 transport aircraft ans support mission and relief work in Haiti as well as the Caribbean. saw and photographed 2 of the aircraft, those photos are on the thread DC-3's.
It was an amazing experience, knowing that you were doing something to help others less fortunate.
