Okay now that I have your attention .... Here's a few from my "model shoot" this morning in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He started out very shy and eventually warmed up to the idea and became a real "ham."

Well Butch beat me to that line. :( But what awesome shots. How far do you have to walk in to get stuff like this? And how long did you sit waiting?
And the other thing I have always wanted to ask you Bob is. What are you carrying on your shoulder in your avatar? Rocket launcher! :):):)

Thanks DB, Curtis, tainkc and tlbuljak

Nice line Butch ... I served it up and you hit it!

Erv .... today’s walk actually took a couple of trips, first time the males were not around ... I spent about an hour with this guy, about 6 hours all together today .... Feels like I am carrying a rocket launcher at times! Used a Canon 1D Mark III with a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens .... Canon 500mm on the tripod in the avatar

Now, are you talking miles of walking? Or just finding a spot out in the woods and sitting. I am sure you have studied and kind of know where to go. I used to hunt and would do this a lot. But now that I shoot with a camera, I am thinking it is about the same.

Great shots. Nice to see them being shot with a camera rather than a gun.
