Hello everyone! Glad to be here. Actually, I am pumped to be here! I am a self-taught photographer (and art teacher) starting out and looking to enrich on any topic. I am starting a website which will promote my business, side business that is, and I'm hoping I can learn more about the business aspect of photography from joining this site. Already I have benefited from reading discussions- good stuff. Thanks in advance to all photogs and nice to meet you. :)
Here's some of my work.
Welcome to the site, nice pics..looking forward to seeing more of your work.
i love them! how did you "teach yourself"? i too love taking pics. do look at mine. please. under introduce yourself... to be or not to be.
thanks all!
@cdeal, to be completely honest when i say self-taught i really mean i have only had one BW darkroom photography course. a year after that i bought a d90. fell in love. pictures were crap though (did not know anything about color photography) so i read the camera manual. that helped. then i started researching photographers i really liked and got in touch with a local one and i shoot weddings with him. he has taught me a lot. i also have a few other photog mentors that i troubleshoot with. then, there's youtube. i am constantly on youtube watching videos on how to shoot better and how to edit photos.
i looked at your work and read the comments. first, i def think you've got a creative eye. i think that a different camera, well mainly a quality lens, will enhance. its all about the lens. i have a kit 18-105mm 3.5-5.6 and a 50mm 1.8, i like the second a lot better bc its faster and creates a much better depth of field. but in reference to what that one comment said about having twins and an easy-access camera, its true, but i would go for the gusto!
hope that helps.
congrats on the twins.
Welcome from another art teacher ! Very nice photos...and hope to see more.
wow thanks. almost got talked out of my intuition and, got another purse digital. i am gonna get the d 90 . thanks .
Very glad you joined mkore because your water droplets on a window has blown me away. REALLY nice photograph. Of course the other 2 are no slouches. Can't wait to see more of your work!
Thank you all for the warm welcomes.
