For anybody that has trouble with USB cords. The micro-macro ones that plug into your camera can be a challenge.
Go to the dollar store and buy the brightest color nail polish you can find. Paint the side you see. Makes it so much easier. Maybe everybody does this but I just fugured it out.
Check the Bokeh on my pic.
Pink towards me.
Isn't it amazing how such a simple solution can be so hard to think of? I appreciate the DUH moment!
It's a pity the manufacturers don't think about things like that (not necessarily nail varnish though :) ).

I use a red Sharpie marker on almost everything. If the surface is black, the red line goes on the "up" side of the metal at the base of the plug.
Strangely enough, the connector which best indicates direction to me without marking is the mini or micro-USB connector. The worst has to be the USB-A male end.
while you are there, pick up a 2 and 3x pair of reading glasses for the small stuff.
Yes, bright is OK, but use UV bright then in a mess of snakes (cords) that glow at the bottom of the stack just peaking thru with the light of the UV (black lite) flashlight will be a great help.
I also color code the direction of SD and Batteries, makes life quick.

The Japanese folks call these tricks Poka Yoke, which means "Mistake Proof". Used to mean "Idiot Proof" but since there are no Idiots in Japan(sic) they changed it !
Idiot proofing tends to breed smarter idiots.

Thanks for the tip (pun intended).

Oooh, beaucoup bokeh!
Good point about the USB cable. Some of mine have a silver strip on the underside, but the others I have marked.
What annoys me about USB is the mini and micro sizes. Why can't one size fit all?
