Nikon D5100 Versus Canon Rebel T3i.

Ok thanks, I was hoping to avoid having to download the photos to find out what the properties were.
I am new to this site and I suspect that this question is very old. BUT, I want to add my two cents. When I decided to update/upgrade from my SONY A100, I bought a Nikon D5100. Out of 200-300 test photos, NONE were in focus. I returned it and bought a Canon T3i that I tested in almost exactly the same places, subjects and situations. It performed almost flawlessly (one must factor in that I had read the manual of NEITHER camera; but I did have 40 years experience in photography by that time). I wrote a review of both cameras on Amazon.com and got an IMMENSE amount of grief from Nikon lovers. Besides accusations of ignorance and incompetence, I was accused of being a Canon employee. EXCEPT for a couple of commenters who noted that Nikon had had at least one defective lot of the D5100.
I love my T3i with the Sigma 18-250 that I bought for it (I do NOT like carrying and switching multiple lenses.
My problem, now, is that I can no longer tolerate 2-3 pounds on my neck or shoulders for long periods. I get terrible backaches. SO, I am currently seeking a P&S that has minimal shutter lag!
The photo I uploaded is of Segovia, Spain from my hotel just outside the city. I placed the T3i and 18-250 on the wall of my hotel room balcony. The camera and lens did the rest. This image in UNRETOUCHED.
