Since I got my new computer with windows 8, I have been having trouble getting some of my programs re-installed. X-Rite Colormunki is my recent encounter. Colormunki was a gift about four years ago, and I do not have the date of purchase, nor is it possible to contact the person who gave it to me. X-Rite did give me a pass word to activate, but when it ask for the date of purchase it won't let me go any further. I have sent X-Rite four messages with no reply. Anyone in the Hog have suggestions.

Thank you EstherP, Big kiss coming you way
I hear that X-rite was sold to another company and that some people are having difficulty with tech support. I hear this is a temporary problem, but it sounds like it's been going on now for a few months.

I just got off the phone for an hour an a half with a support tech by the name of Kevin at the X-Rite corporation. I was relieved to have been told my problem was not typical, but Kevin stuck in there and got me through my issue. Previously, X-Rite tried to get in touch with me by phone, but because of technical problems with my cell carrier, message was not received. All is well

I hate over-zealous security. All it does is make life more difficult for users. It's one thing for them to require a usedid, p[assword, hints for the password and half a dozen security questions {What was the color of your favorite neighbor's favorite cat?"}, but when you can't find some of that info, they should be able to help you. Of course, if they go out of business or merge with another company, well, time to start looking for another program to buy.

Jerry, I agree...I'm normally a very patient person, but my tolerants fuse get very short in a hurry with red tape and ball chasing. As a rule, I try and figure out things first before getting on the horn and asking for help. But as I said in a previous post, Kevin in the support group at X-Rite stayed on the phone for one and a half hours and got my issue resolved.
