Newbie on the forum, just joined today. I've had my Nikon D3000 for almost a year, still enjoying it, and still learning about it. I bought it mostly for astrophotography, and that itself has turned out to be challenging, but have also began to notice alot of other good things to take pictures of, closer to earth. Here is sample pic from my very first outing, Lunar Eclpise from December 22nd, 2010. My first shots at totality were pretty bad, but tis one came out the best as the moon was coming out of the shadow. It was cold, and my camera was 3 days old, but it was the beginning. My pictures have improved somewhat, and I will post more as the days go on.
Lunar Eclipse 12-22-10
Welcome Greg...nice shot.
hamilton sculpture garden under that moon?
it was just a wild guess referring to your avatar picture...which I believe is a monet, which is reproduced three d and life size at the Hamilton Sculpture Garden in NJ..I guess not. Sorry to confuse.
Yes it is a Monet, it is called "Garden at Sainte Adresse".
I have never seen it in person, but I just love the colors and the subject. I will have to check out the Hamilton Sculpture Garden, since I live in NJ
Steward Johnson of Johnson and Johnson is a sculpture and if you have never been to the Hamilton Sculpture Garden and your jersey address is not far from the Hamilton train station I think you would like it.
If you have it handy, sure, post it. I am closer to Philly, but anywhere in Jersey is not to far, I will have to put it on my list of places to visit. Thanks.
cant find it...but here is the link
http://www.groundsforsculpture.org/ cant find it but this one should give you the idea....sculptures placed on hill ....reproducing famous artist that I cant recall Ha!
