Thank you, he is a real love and you would never know he
is a stallion. His registered name is RDK's Oregon Rising Sun. He
is also a registered Pinto.

wonderful pictures, the first one being my favorite, though it seems a bit soft, the 2nd and 3rd are really nice but seem to have a bit of blue tint in them, that could be just from whatever they do to pics to get 'em on here though..I have noticed a lot of pics that have that problem here..and some of the pics I post here also have some color issues..sorry to ramble on..great shots overall..welcome to the site

The first image where the mane is being blown in the wind is memorable, the subject isn't just standing there waiting to have a picture taken and the shot is well executed. The middle image evokes an 'ahhh' its sweet and has lots of emotion. If it could be shot again the image might benefit by moving the camera to the right a foot or two so the behind isn't the most prominent part of the shot. The final image while perfectly executed it's more of a documentary type photo. Nice work keep shooting and show your work, we all need an audience and helpful feedback.

#1 - beautiful but soft.

#2 - the horse's rear bothers me. I agree that a better angle would have been better. Of course, we can't always get that better angle, but we should try.

Here is my horse picture... don't have too many of these.

Thank you for your wonderful imput. The first shot was the one I entered in the county fair and out of 1000 entries I did
get honorable mention but I had it in the wrong category. The 2nd and 3rd were shot at 8PM into the sun so might have something to do with the blue tint.

The first image where the mane is being blown in t... (show quote)

I can see what you are saying, however its a head to tail shot and I don't know how to get the tail out. Maybe if my camera was a little higher as I would like to have gotten more of the dark fillies muzzle.

Thank you so much. I'm a work in progress. So much to learn and my camera sure knows more than me.

The horse's rear doesn't bother me. If you love horses, you take the whole horse, not just a pretty face. I'd rather be mooned by a horse than a person, any day!

I agree with Horseart... those are great pictures! The third one I would play with some, but on the whole...just beautiful!
