I have been looking high and low for a remote for my Sony NEX-5N...I know that it is somewhere because everything is somewhere, and if it is not, then it is somewhere else!
But what I did find was an old digital camera that I bought ten years ago and have not used for 6 years.
It is a Sony Mavica MVC-CD400.......At the time I bought it I payed a hansom price since I was intrigued by the idea that it records direct to Mini DVD's.
Only 4 mp, but that was a lot ten years ago.
I also found a battery and a charger...and surprise. surprise, the battery charged OK!
I found the Mini DVD disks that I had stored away and put the very first disk I took in the camera.
Here is one of the photos......our youngest granddaughter on her 10th birthday....not a bad photo I think!
Kathleen is now 20 and in college to become a teacher. Where did the last ten years go?!

Maybe I have found my back-up camera?

Ten Years Ago!

Those 4 MP cameras weren't bad in their day. Nice picture

I don't mean to steal your thunder but recently went thru some old scanned 35mm slides and found this one of my oldest daughter's first birthday on 12/23/1967. Printed it for her 46th B'day card. Where did the last 45 years go?
And please tell me.... Just who is that old man looking back at me in the mirror? (for a comparison see my image on my site's home page)  :-(

Pjarmit that is a fun find. Is your granddaughter happy with her picture? I have to ask how did you get from the UK to Texas? That has to be culture shock to the ntthh degree. Have fun and keep shootin'. Mike

Thanks for asking Mike....no culture shock at all. I was simply following my "steering current"
There were a few stops in different places along the way to Houston Texas. I was on the South Coast of England during the "Battle of Britain" as a 11 year old who was fascinated by anything that flew. Became a aircraft design engineer, then a stint as an RAF Flight Engineer on Lincoln II bombers (617 Squadron)....that "steered" me to want to go into flight testing. Got a job with Avro Canada flight testing fighters, and from there NASA hired me into the space program operations...first in Virginia, then on to Houston.
Been retired from NASA for 25 years now and enjoying the best job I ever had! Never a culture shock along the way!
If you need more info just type "Peter J. Armitage" into a search engine and you will be bored to death!

I have 2 old Sony Mavicas, but they record to a floppy disc. Thank goodness I pulled all the photos off the floppies and put them on one of my external HDs before I got a computer without the floppy drive.

The Mavicas are the very best for making photos to use for Ebay items you want to sell!
