Another little tidbit for you to ponder. If there was no sun or planets before the CREATION, what reference is there for the length of a day? Our present reference is 1 revolution of the earth on it's axis, but if there is no earth, sun, stars, then what is the time reference to determine how many hours, days, years, centuries, eons that an omnipetant GOD considers as his day?
As I said before, our concept of TIME is relative and only from the limited senses we possess.

Presumably as god was THE BOSS back in those times(?) he (or she) decided how long their day was going to be.

- There is always an answer in these matters!!! :D

Something else to ponder - As women tend to be bad time keepers and as the creation days were several billion years each - perhaps this is evidence that god is a woman!

Now, that would be a shock revelation for some people.

Geez....are you saying GOD could be a woman? If that were the case, then if she mated with Mary, she must be a lesbain too. Oh my !!! Talk about throwing a wrench in the works.....If the Bible is a litteral account of history.
What gender is the name "YAWEH" anyway?

If god is a woman it would explain why Mary was still a virgin when she was pregnant. A god wouldn't need the messy physical coupling to implant a seed!

All I am looking for how do you stop the person under drug, alcohol with a mental problem from going from house to house killing . Is it banding guns and depending on our police force to protect us. We need a plan that will provide us a safe life style. Can anyone provide a plan to stop the high killing rates.

Have we now reached the conclusion that guns don't kill people unless mixed with drugs, alcohol or mental problems? Does shear anger come under temporary mental problems or is it in a different category?

I was talking to a group of people at my favorite restaurant where we meet for coffee and the topic of gun control came up. One of the ladies and a couple of guys think we should ban guns all together. My answer to that is we should ban guns but at the same time let ban Cannabis (Marijuana), Heroin, Methamphetamine, cocaine and other drugs that are known to kill.
I know that alcohol is legal but should we put it on the above list? More people have been killed in alcohol related car accidents then guns have killed people in the commission of a crime. A highway patrol officer said to add baseball bats as well…..so ok we will add them too.
If we can ban these things would we live in a safer world? I would love to hear all of your thought on this.

I was sick to learn of Marijuana becoming legal. I am not in favor of any 'mind altering' drink or drug. We did not allow alcohol in our home, nor guns. When a child sees a parent drinking.. they think it's an ok thing even if parent says no they can't have it yet... but when the parents are gone... kids will play.... it's a Monkey see... Monkey do type of thing... kids mimmic what they see a parent do whether as a child or even after they leave home.

Drugs and alcohol have destroyed many a person and many a family.

I am not saying for or against Marijuana and there are too many conflicting 'reports' to obtain a true picture.

However, when talking about drugs you must also include prescription drugs, many people have had their lives damaged as much or more with some of these than the recreational drugs.

I do know that Marijuana does have some extremely good medical uses and a great number of seriously ill people have benefited from Marijuana when other medications have failed. In the UK people have to obtain these drugs illegally but for many they are the only way to cope with their condition and have something of a life.

Plymouth University in the UK has done a study (had to be privately funded by a patient) which proved the medical benefits of Marijuana. There is so much hysteria about Marijuana here in the UK that for many years it was not allowed to be even researched and the recent Plymouth University trial was - I believe - the first.

I was not speaking of pot given to patients who need it .. I am talking about where people can walk in a bar or where ever like they do for beer,etc.. and just smoke a joint... I went with a friend of mine one time to a concert... I had never been to one before and wasn't too hot on going.. but she and her husband insisted... I soon found out what it was like... the jokers sitting in front of me.. one of them would take a puff... then blow it to the one sitting by them.. and they enhaled that smoke... I couldnt take my eyes off that.... and I wondered why all the policemen were in that building, and did NOTHING.... guess I am still living in a backwoods enviornment... dunno... but all of it sickened me....

But if somone needed it for medical use.. fine... but for just getting a high for the pleasure.. No.. Im against it... we have enough drunks on the roads as it is without adding more pot heads... Look how many people are killed every day from drug related accidents...

This whole MJ controversy was stared in the USA in the 1920s by an FBI fellow who's daughter had started on MJ and progressed to hard drugs. She had mental illness and really needed a psychiastist but her father didn't beleive in the study of psychiatry. She eventually died and he went a campaign to irradicate the drug with faulty statements and studies.
Semms the smae thing went on there in England. For Gloucoma, MJ seems to be very helful to those afflicted, and for those on Chemo therapy it induces then to eat and sooths the pain and side effects of the treatments.
Any drug or herbal rememdy that induces dopemines in the body will be misused by someone who is addition prone so they all need to be monitored for doseage and misuse, but to make any helpful drug to be banned when it can do someone some good is rediculous.
Under today's laws, George Washington would be arrested and jailed for life for the growing, use and distributiopn of marajuana since the seperation of male and female plants has been discovered in his herb gardens. I guess this country was founded by drug users.
Just sayin.....
