Thought I'd toot my own horn - I entered my first photography contest - BirdSpotter through Cornell Lab of Ornitology - Project FeederWatch. I was notified yesterday that I won this weeks contest. I'm rather proud. My Avatar is the winning photo.

Good shot...I'm sure the eagle would approve.
Congratulations sidigirl - a nice Christmas "gift" for you
Congratulations, a lovely shot!
Fantastic...congrats. Well deserved.
congratulations on a great capture!
congratulations
it is nice to be rewarded for the hard work it sometimes takes to get a winning shot!
That is a wonderful photo. Reminds me of shooting eagles during a pink salmon migration on the Oyster River estuary just south of Campbell River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It was the first time we witnessed two eagles grabbing claws in mid flight and tumbling carefree towards the ground. Where is the Conowingo Dam please. And again, a wonderful shot!!!

Well done that is a stunning shot. This is how I became a Pro, I entered loads of competitions. Some I won some I didn't, but my name became known with the creditation I aquired. Also the body of work I had completed for these competions stood me in good stead to join the various Pro organisations here in the Uk. So onwards and upwards keep up the great work. Brian
