From an old friend and widow ...

Her husband passed away a few years ago of Leukemia and since then every Christmas she does this. To me this is the ultimate celebration.

I extended invitations to those who are alone so they could come for dinner: sauerbraten and the usual fixings, topped off with apple/cranberry pie. Last count as of an hour ago...12. Two Catholic priests, two devout Baptists, two blacks, one Muslim, and the rest Catholics. This will be interesting! You know what? I cook for whoever shows up. Period. I do have fun....as long as everyone behaves.

I Will try to get something posted a little later. feeling a bit overwhelmed.Today is my day off and need to get as much ready today for tomorrow as I can. At least I get off work at 2. I would like to wish all of my new wonderful friends a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday season.
