Moon shots by Canon5D3 and DX50 Handheld

This is not a technical comparison, just a bit of fun - thought I'd try handholding my 5D with the 100-400 lens at 400mm, and my wifes SX50 at 1200mm. Wonder why I cart all that weight about?

From the 5D mk3/100-400mm lens
From the 5D mk3/100-400mm lens...

From the SX50 at 1200mm
From the SX50 at 1200mm...

Great shots magnetoman, #1 super, #2 very good from the XS50

Nice shots - they do show that the 5D with the better lens is significantly better than a bridge camera for this type of shot. Nice work.

Alternatively, set the SX 50 at 400mm to compare - would be interesting!
