Need your opinions on new Camera

I am entertaining buying a new Nikon camera body. I am looking at both the D-800 and the D-600. Both have some problems as well as some great attributes from what I've been reading.

My question - Which one to buy and why? Please do not exclude one over the other due to price. Yes, price is important but not at this stage of my investigating.

Thanks for your help.

right I know that - but it is more of a grease/oil problem than dust

I would choose the D800 (the 800 has the anti-aliasing filter). The D800 is full of features that will keep me busy learning for years and it's my understanding that the D800 is a bit more robust than the D600. Do a Google search on D800 vs D600 and see what you find. I'm hoping that MTShooter will chime in here and if he does I'd recommend you take his advice to heart. If he doesn't I'd suggest you send him a PM. I know he has researched both and can give you some knowledgeable insights.

I've had my D-800 since May 2012 and have been delighted with it's performance and I highly recommend it.

You take care of the price. Your only paying for the name. That's why it's high. The item is the same use.
