Hi all, I was recently on a hunting trip when I shot these images. Now I have to say that they were taken through the side window and windshield of my truck.
The buck was later taken by a young friend ,his first,so I wanted to develop for him.
My brother in law and I take the kid out every year after getting his deer, his grandfather comes over to help with processing.. Anyway,is there way to clean up the images, even thought they were shot thru the windows.
I did the best I could with focusing. I shot with a Canon 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 ultrasonic lens.
They weren't terrible yet would like to know if they can be cleaned up a bit? Thank You ahead of time for any critique. I could not roll the window down to get images in fear of scaring deer away. By the way, these were shot hand held.

These will be a wonderful gift for your friend!
Load them into Digital Photo Professional (it came with your camera) and see if you can work them a little. Try to Sharpen them to see if that helps. Another choice may be to try something like Picasa which may more intuitive to use. And post your results here as we would all like to see them!

Hi. If your original pictures were in in RAW you could do more than you can with JPGs. You could try using photoshop or elements. Using these programs open your images in the RAW plug in. Here you can increase contrast and apply saturation, adjust exposure etc. I spent a few minutes to give an example of what can be done. I cloned out a distracting piece of straw that was infront of the deer the other example I cropped your image as well.

If you post them using (store original) people will be able to do better. The thumnail images are too coarse for good results.

Best I can do with 200K image

Trying to enlighten you through debate would be fruitless. If you have never hunted you would never understand. I hunted for 40 years. I choose not to now. It's an individual choice and I understand both sides but allow others to choose for themselves.

then I don't understand your comment " ... Shame on you." I fully allow others the right to hunt , i just don't agree with it for "sport" and fail to see the joy in being hundreds of yards away from a defenseless animal before shooting it. *shrugs* takes all sorts I guess. Glad to hear that you have given it up now though!

Agreed. Some animals are more sentient than most humans and then along comes "bubba" who is so proud of their dismal deed.

Sentient is a good word. Perhaps you will find some, someday.
